All of us benefit from some extra support from time to time in our lives. Focusing Oriented Art Therapy is an investment in yourself or your child that produces long-lasting results. The positive benefits in emotional health, connection with self and others, and the development of skills you will use life-long are priceless.
Rates and Payments
· $190.00 for 90 minutes of one-to-one individual Focusing Oriented Art Therapy/Clinical Counselling.
· $140.00 for 60 minutes of one-to-one individual Focusing Oriented Art Therapy/Clinical Counselling.
These rates include tax and cover organizational contacts and emails, pre and post session preparation, administrative costs and art supplies.
Fees are set in accordance with BCACC. Many extended health insurance and employee assistance plans cover a portion or all of the counselling provided by a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). Contact your extended health insurance provider or your human resources department at work to see if your plan covers counselling by an RCC.
Payment is due on the day of service via interac e-transfer. If your plan covers counselling by an RCC you would pay me directly. I will issue you a receipt via email to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Autism Funding Coverage
The Autism Funding Branch covers counselling costs up to the amount you specify out of the funds allotted to you per year. I am an authorized service provider for children ages 6 to 18 and can provide both “Specialized Therapeutic Activities: Art Therapy” and “Family Counselling/Therapy” (for parents, guardians, adult caretakers and/or siblings).
If you wish to use your government funding for my services, you would submit the required paper work to the Autism Funding Branch, indicating the number of sessions and amount we have agreed upon. After they send me an authorization number I can begin working with your child. I would then submit my billing invoices to the Autism Funding Branch, which they process, before sending me a cheque.
Costs for Other Services
We can negotiate a fee for Individualized Education Plan discussions, parent or partner meetings or sessions, external meetings on your child’s or your behalf, or letters you wish me to write. Generally the fee is $140.00 per hour.
Hours and Appointment Scheduling Sessions are by appointment
only. During the school year, office
hours are on Saturdays and Sundays, between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm and on Mondays and Fridays between 1:00 and 4:00pm. For adults who prefer a mid-week evening
session, office hours are between between 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Sessions for children or adults can also
occur during Spring, Summer and Winter school breaks.
